Family Request

Greetings, We do not mean for this to sound rude to anyone who has come by to visit and offer support, but right now Ali and I are asking for no visitors at the hospital. We have just had very dramatic news given to us over the past few days, and all the energy that we can muster is dedicated to Cate, each other, and making decisions that will effect our family. We ask that you please honor our request at this time. Thank you so much. I will be writing a blog later this afternoon after we have received and processed some more information from the Doctors and Surgeons. It is very important and we will need your prayers to strongly continue.

I just want to say that I am in awe of you guys. As I( and many others) am constantly checking the blog, praying and crying. I can't begin to understand what your family is going through but one thing that stands out to me is the incredible faith and strenght that the two of you have. I pray not only for Cate's recovery but for your entire family's peace and continued strength and faith. God be with you in this difficult time.
Praying for all of you,

Still here with you Charlie, praying that God grants you and Ali the strength, calm and wisdom needed to deal with all of the information coming at you.
Also still praying for God to infuse the doctors with supernatural wisdom and ability and work through them to heal your sweet Cate.
A third prayer is that Ella and Dude are happily playing today without a worry on their minds.

June 13th GOD CALLING excerpt:

"God-Inspired"

"You have entered now upon a mountain climb. Steep steps lead upward, but your power to help others will be truly marvelous.

Not alone will you arise. All towards whom you now send loving, pitying thoughts will be helped upward by you.

Looking to Me all your thoughts are God-inspired. Act on them and you will be led on. They are not your own impulses but the movement of My Spirit, and obeyed, will bring the answer to your prayers.

Love and Trust. Let no unkind thoughts of any dwell in your hearts, then can I act with all My Spirit-power, with nothing to hinder."

Dear Ali and Charlie,

Please know that we are constantly praying for you. I have made plans with your parents to keep the kids over the weekend and do tons of activities with them. I also want you guys to know that I am just a phone call away, so if you would like for me to bring Ella and Dude to Houston at any point over the weekend, I will gladly do so in a heartbeat (whether it be for an hour or a day). God bless and I will keep in touch...

You all have been in our prayers and remain there. Your sweet family and it's needs are being brought before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament daily during my holy hour here at our training (www.focusonline.org) at Belmont Abbey College in North Carolina.
Your hope, faithfulness, and transparent sharing of feelings is such a witness to true Christian suffering.
May God bless you with His peace.

Good afternoon, I just prayed the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for Baby Cate and opened Saint... Faustina's Diary to seek words from Christ for the two of you...this is what I found "Be always ready; I will not leave you in this exile for long. My holy will must be fulfilled in you"(1539). I'm praying for our Lord's Mercy to calm the storm raging in your hearts. Let His love and generous Mercy bring you peace. God Bless.

We also met and said a Chaplet of mercy today at 3 pm and called on the intercession of St. Faustina. We MADE our kids pray, so even more soldiers on you guys side! Hang in there, his peace will come soon. I will keep begging for grace for you guys.

Dear Charlie and Ali,
I have been praying for your family daily and have been kept up on everything via the facebook groups and your blog. I cannot begin to imagine all the emotions, struggle, and tribulation you face tonight and everyday- but i do PRAY and it helps me to put things in perspective in my own life. I cry everytime I read your latest blogs and I offer my tears up to God as a prayer. My sister just had a baby girl last week and we are praying for your baby girl. There is a Gospel song that often plays in my head and some of the words go... "our God is on time God-yes he is yes his.. He may not come when you want him to but he'll be right on time..our God is on Time God- yes he is yes he is"
Sincerely,
Lindsay Hymel (FUS alumni c/o 2003)

God Bless each of you,

Hello Charlie & Ali. We've never met, but I wanted to let you know that we are praying. I am in Houma and Maureen & Gretchen passed along this link. I am teaching at Vacation Bible School this week and all 109 of our little prayer warriors have been praying for Cate. Every class came in this morning with kids telling me that they prayed for her at home too. I just wanted you to know that her name is being whispered by a hundred little voices into the ear of our loving Father. You and your family will remain in all of our prayers. God bless.

Hi Charlie and Ali,
You don't know me, but I feel like I know you and the journey you are on with your baby girl. Because my husband and I had a baby boy almost 3 years ago. He has tetrology of fallot and had heart surgery when he was 5 months old. He is so healthy and happy. So I am here to give you hope for your baby girl. She is going to be ok. A friend of mine went to a healing mass at a church in Washington, La tonight and brought her picture to Mac(a visionary and healer) and told her that Cate is going to be fine. My family and I prayed for Baby Cate and you and that you will continue to feel God's strength and His arms wrapped around you with all of His grace and blessings.

With love in Christ,
Kathy and Mike Spielmann
