The funeral was absolutely beautiful and the music was perfect, although I did cry for Kelly Pease's songs (but I love those songs so was a little emotional when they started playing haha). It was a great celebration of Cate's life on Earth as well as her new life in heaven. And Charlie you are right the cards are beautiful, I have mine up in my house!! Still praying for you guys!! Love, Erin Dawson

I really wish I could have been at the funeral, but I was on my way to Houston, but seeing you two at the funeral home was just astonishing. I made the comment to Tyler as we left that God had worked wonders through the both of you. Yall seemed so at ease of the whole situation and it was just amazing to see the calming power of God. Still Praying for you guys

Ali & Charlie,

My name is Anne deGraauw. I was a Sister of Mount Carmel and taught at Rayne Catholic many years ago. While there I had the opportunity to babysit with Ali and Phillip one weekend. Lee Ardoin, Ali's cousin, is a good friend of mine. A mutual friend of ours, Margaret Doucet, emailed me and told me about your precious baby Cate. Lee and I have both read the blog and have been with you in Spirit this past week. We were unable to attend the funeral as we are attending a conference in San Antonio. We would both love to have a prayer card. Your story touched me in a personal way. My nephew, Patrick and his wife, Mandy, lost their baby Gillian when she was only 8 months old. Our family, too, felt the awesome power of God working in and through her. We believe He still does. We will continue to pray for you. Please send the prayer cards to
Lee Ardoin
P.O. Box 325

Thanks for sharing your story.
Anne

My prayers are with you guys. I know you probably don't remember me, but when you were the youth minister at St. Laurence, I was just able to be in Life Teen, and you were the person that convinced me to join, and it ended up being the best thing of my life. I admire you and Ali so much for being so strong through all of this. God is definitely radiating through yall to everyone. My family and I would definitely love a prayer card. You can mail it to:

Charlie and Ali,

As this day comes to a close I was so excited to see that you have posted 2 more blogs.

You don't have to mail them to us but please set aside 2 prayer cards for us, please. We were so frustrated because only moments before the funeral began the guy from the funeral home started passing them out at the end of the pews and the music began and we never received one.

We would also like to send one to our friend Henry Chandler and his family in Atlanta. Henry was recently diagnosed with liver cancer and Tommy really feels strongly that little Cate is meant to be Henry's guardian angel. I would like to send one to them as well. Love you, Jane W
