I would like to share a short story with you.
Little Aidan came into the shrine of Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos yesterday and was running around and his parents had to constantly run after him, although things were not always like this. He was born 11/29/2004 with a disease called Pierson's Syndrome in which his body did not make any red blood cells for the first 2 years of his life. Every 2 to 3 weeks from the time he was born he had to receive blood. The doctors surgically installed a port in his chest for this. Also, his immune system was very low which made him susceptible to colds, flu, etc. He was always sick and lethargic, clung to his mother all the time. Before their first visit to the shrine at the end of October 2006, things weren't improving.(another reason to keep our eyes focused on Jesus, and not the circumstances surrounding us). It's a long story, but to summarize, Aidan started making blood shortly after asking the intercession of Fr. Seelos and within a few months of this, his body was making all the blood he needed and the transfusions were stopped. I tell you this because we are to proclaim God's mighty works and deeds and I have come to realize that God is the God of miracles. He is not just the God of Hope, He is Hope itself. As St. Paul said in Romans 15:13
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the holy Spirit."

We have been privileged to see many miracles at the shrine. You are in my prayers as we ask Fr. Seelos intercession and we will expect a miracle, all according to God's Will.
God bless you Baby Cate, mom and dad
Anthony Catalano
Volunteer-Seelos CenterTonycathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05117308221739547340noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4345543617741989942.post-11120048858586684682008-06-15T17:03:00.000-07:002008-06-15T17:03:00.000-07:00Tears fall down my face now as I come to the end o...Tears fall down my face now as I come to the end of today's post. But she always asks before she ventures off the couch! Picture their happy little faces as you face the next few hours....let them help you through.
